Mary's Lasagna

This lasagna only has 6 noodles in it! The rest is goodies and it stands up really well. What I mean is it is firm when you are done even tho it has little bit of noodles. And it tastes yummmy!! As she sings that at the top of her lungs in Opera style!

Recipe:

1-Lb. ground sausage
1-Lb. ground burger
1 large onion, chopped
3 Tbs. minced garlic
olive oil

Add oil to your cooking pan...heat just a wee bit then add onion. cook for 2-3 mins then add your ground meats and cook thoroughly. Add minced garlic leave on heat for 2-3 mins. Remove from heat.

15 oz. Ricotta Cheese
1-2 eggs
1 quart pasta sauce or marinara sauce
2 Tbs Italian seasoning or Herbal seasoning
2 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp salt

mix Ricotta cheese and eggs together until smooth. Add pasta sauce and seasonings to this mix and stir real good..put aside for layering process

1-Lb. Mozzarella Cheese, Shredded
1/2 C. Parmesan Cheese
6-Raw or Uncooked lasagna noodles

In the bottom of  your 13x 9 pan take a little bit of your meat mix and line the bottom...now just a little not a ton ...ok about one large cooking spoon fulls.
Take 3 noodles and lay long ways next to each other. Spread or pour some of your sauce mix on the noodles about 1/4" thick about 1/2 of mix. Then add your meat and some Mozzarella cheese 1/2 lb?? (at your discretion on amount, remember you need some for next layer which is the top too). Repeat for next layer. adding the Parmesan cheese to the top.

375* for 30- 45 mins or until noodles can be poked thru....I check about 30 mins to see how much longer it may be. Every oven cooks differently!
Enjoy!
