Got The Flu-Chicken Stew


1 whole chicken, boiled, de-boned
1 whole onion sliced and diced
2 qts potatoes
1 qt carrots
2 cups frozen peas
2 cups frozen corn
3 tbls mrs dash
salt pepper(you decide)
8 qt pot
1. I used a frozen bird added just enough water to cover the bird about 3-4 inches above it. Add seasonings. Bring to boil. It is done when bird falls apart. Strain from liquid(save for next step), then de-bone.
2. Take left over liquid and add all veggies in list above. Bring to a light boil...don't over cook. Add more liquid if it looks too thick. Needs to look like soup!!

3. add meat to soup. let sit for about 20 mins.
4. serve and eat!

*there are variations to this soup...add garlic, celery, green onion, turnips, sweet potatoes, butternut squash, zucchini, yellow squash....use your imagination!
